School info: Please remember to join us at "Back to school night". We are all excited to show you our class rooms and what goes on during the day. Your child's teacher will be available to answer all your question that night and meet your families. I would like to introduce the newest member of our teaching staff, Linda Cook. Linda will be teaching in our Koala class on Monday and Wednesday and our infant room on Tuesday and Thursday. Linda will also be the closing teacher in our infant room. Linda has a daughter in our panda class and comes to our school with experience in child development and working with children of all ages. Please join us in welcoming her to our school. I encourage all of you to take a look at the Tupperware fundraiser that is posted on the gate. Meals with love is a ministry based out of All Saint's church. Meals with love delivers hot meals to seniors and others here in Vista and parts of Oceanside. We at the preschool have benefitted from this program in many ways including drinks, snacks, lunches, and food for some of our families. They are fighting to keep their doors open and their operation going. This is a very necessary program for our community, If you can help with this fundraiser I know it will be much appreciated. Kindergarten News: We are off to a great start in the kindergarten class! the kids are well on their way to becoming kindergarten experts! This month we will begin our in depth study of the alphabet as well as studying numbers and patterns. We will enjoy learning about apples and Johnny Appleseed. Homework begins this month! Be sure to check your child's folder on Monday and return their completed work on Friday. So far the year is going beautifully! We look forward to the learning still ahead of us! We have made it through the first two weeks of the new school year and we are going strong. As we wrap up the fun and exciting summer, we are jumping into an electrifying autumn full of fun activities and exhilarating learning concepts. As we know, September 22nd is the first day of autumn and we will be exploring ideas about autumn. We will also enjoy Apple madness which includes, Apple tasting, Apple art, and making apple sauce; let's not forget Johnny Apple Seed Day on September 26th. As we wrap up the month we will dive into learning to read and write our ABC's, beginning with letters Aa and Bb, so please remember to work on them at home with your children. We will be busy learning all about the fall season, leaves ,apples and our favorite Jonny Appleseed. Our bible curriculum this month will be learning all about the "Fruit of the spirit."
